  1. honestly it doesnt matter because the probability of something happening is slim but you gain nothing by taking them off. i just see it as more work. also if you do take them off there is a small chance that you may mess up the screws which would be bad.

  2. you dont really have to take your bindings off but it wouldnt be a bad idea to loosen them cause after a while the screws can pull the base in a lil bit and warp it.

  3. I leave them on.

Sunlight is the big key.  I keep it under a bed, flat, cool and dark with nothing on top of it.

I have a nice storage bag, but even that isn't a necessity.

  4. do not lay your board down, it will lose its pop and flex

    keep it vertical

you can keep the binding on or off, doesnt make a difference really

  5. Well, the ideal way to keep the bindings over the summer is to keep them strapped up so they wont loose their form. That happened to me one year and i had to throw them out.

    Hope this helps.

  6. i dont. i just leave it in my garage where its nice and cool.

  7. Never hurts

  8. No. It's just another way you can lose a s***w or, strip or wreck the screws by excessive s******g and unscrewing. I leave mine on year round. I also think it's ironic how some are so anal with trying to take such good care of something they also use to stomp on metal rails with.

  9. I don't think it matters too much either way, and Crash is right, sunlight and heat are your killers.

  10. So far all your answers are somewhat right, but they really don't go to deeply into the subject.  Taking your bindings off in the summer is really a personal preference. I personally do not remove my bindings in the summer There is a rumor that the pull of your binding screws will create divots in your base, but I have not experienced this yet. Like most answers so far, I'm going to tell you to keep it in a cool, dry and dark place. This will keep your board in good condition, and probably reduce the risk of the divots in the base of your board. If you DO happen to decide to remove your binders, you need to keep track of your stance and angles. You could do this by taking down notes on a piece of paper and storing it somewhere you'll be able to find it come winter. Another option is to mark your board with a sharpie on the appropriate binding holes and jot your angles down somewhere

    Have fun snowboarding

  11. you can leave them on I don't think it matters, just keep your board out of the sun,on a flat surface and it should be fine

  12. Instead of storing it all summer, shouldn't it be taken on a trip to Chile or New Zealand or something?

Oh, and to add to the advice about light and heat, don't forget to wax it when you store it.  Gotta protect the base from oxidation - TWS suggests that you should leave the wax on thick, and scrape it next time you use it.

  13. no, theres no need to take the bindings off.

the only time you should really condsider taking them off is when it's getting waxed. other than that....your fine.

  14. It does not matter if you have bindings on or off. As some have pointed out, it is more important to rest the board on the side (vertical), keep it out of the sun, and loosen the binding screws just a bit.
