  1. Not necessarily.  You would be better off stopping any kind of moisture coming in first, and then making sure that you have adequate air space with air movement between stud walls and concrete walls.  It may be necessary to waterproof the wall with a product like drylok.      www.ugl.com/drylok....


  2. Not at all. Better idea is to first be sure gutters and downspouts are kept functioning,so moisture wont be seeping down below. Most people simply wont do that.Just because green board wont grow moldy does"nt stop mold from growing behind it on wood or concrete wall

  3. Yes, the green Sheetrock is for damp locations.
