Is it a good or bad idea to take Geometry and Alg. 2 as a sophmore?

If you can handle it then I guess it's a good idea, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it but then again it depends on you.

I would recommend that only if you have shown yourself to be an exceptional student, one who is able to get A's in your classes without trying very hard.  Otherwise, I think you will be setting yourself up for getting poor marks in one or both classes.
