  1. It's kind of bad thing because you have to pay for your strings, but it probably means you're hitting very hard, which is a good thing if you want to be a power player.  Sometimes the strings are old and not durable.  Buy strings online directly from www.tennis-warehouse.com  They should have good strings.  Also find a experienced guy to string your racket.

    Thanks

  2. How much tennis are you playing?  I play 2 - 3 times a week and break a set of strings every 2 months.  I use synthetic guy and have my string tension set somewhat loose.

If you are smacking the daylights out of the ball and/or you are playing 3 or more times a week and/or are using a natural gut, you'll tend to break your strings faster.

And if you repeatedly bash your racquet on the court after missing your fifth forehand in a row...you'll break your strings faster.

  3. Bad in that you have to pay for new strings.

But other than that, it just shows that you either play a lot, use a lot of spin, or hit extremely hard. Or a combination, of course

  4. haha, 3-4 times a summer

    try 3-4 times a month : (

Depending on where you're breaking them it could be bad or good. If you usually break them in the center then that IS good. You are hitting solid, with plenty spin and playing a lot.

If you usually break it near the edge of the racquet that that is BAD. It means that, although you are swinging hard, you aren't consistently making contact with the sweetspot of the racquet and probably mishit a ton of balls.

    Good luck

  5. i think its obviously bad....

  6. wow.... how can you not think that that is bad i mean come on.  I've had like one racket my entire life! that's just a waste of money.  either you just totally suck at tennis or you are buying the crapiest rackets.

  7. You said you go through 3 to 4 tennis RACKETS a summer?

Or do you mean strings. Hahah

I'm guessing that's good, just try getting more durable strings.

15L or 16 guage should be fine
