Given the recent rally of the US dollar is it a bad time to hold foreign stocks?

  1. Most experts will tell you that a buy & hold strategy is the safest, best bet for long term capital appreciation.  As such, don't worry so much about periodic fluctuations in the dollar vs. the Euro or Yen.

    A mix of 70% domestic to 30% foreign (or mix it up, according to your personal assessment of the global situation) seems to be a standard ratio advised by financial consultants nowadays.
