Is it a good time for 3-mile freshmen?

i just had my 1st race, and ive been training since the begging of july, my time was 20:32

26th out of the 3 schools (100 somethin runners)

11th on team

1st freshmen

the race was separate from the girls and it was about 90 degrees out

  1. you're pretty fast for a newbie! keep at it- you're obviously good, and there's still room to improve


  2. It is pretty good. My freshmen year i ran the same time 20:32, but through hard work and dedication for the next year I'm down to around 18:40 and the 6th best runner on my team.

  3. Times will vary from course to course, so you really can't tell by that.  But you're in the top 25% overall and first freshman, I'd say that's pretty good.
