Is it a good time to be a Child?

Are you happy with your previous childhood or would you rather be a Child now?

Wish they had the PS3 in my day i never get a chance to play it now ive got children of my own.

i think its a bad time for kids to be kids.

i still make my kids go out to 'play' in the garden and on the park (supervised of course).

i get em using their imagination, unlike some kids turning into a cabbage on these video games.

my kids do have all the latest in gaming systems but they prefer to go outside to play instead.

I'm 15, and i must say although there are games like the Wii, new phones, computers etc.

It hasn't done us a great deal of good has it? Lol. We are no happier now, than children were in the past.

I talk to my mom about her childhood, and she would be playing with her friends, and was happy with what she had.

Kids today, or the ones i see alot of the time, are miserable, and don't appreciate what they have an how lucky they are. Its very materialistic, and you feel pressured to want to wear whats in fashion, or "friends" and people will know look you up and down.

I'm not saying i havent had a good childhood, because i owe everything to my parents and im grateful. But society today among children is not as good as it used to be. And i find that children of a younger age are being effected by this materialistic society, with their mini designer clothes.

As you can tell, i feel strongly about this Lol.

I think it's a pretty awful time to be a child today..or a parent for that matter. We might not have had ps3's but we had imagination and only had to worry about the school bully laughing at us rather than stabbing us!

I'm happy with my previous childhood. Being a child now is difficult because there are A LOT of disadvantages. First thing, you can't venture out alone. Second, just because of a small mistake made, parents scold, reprimand, nag etc. Third, a child is like, more prone to bullies.

Actually you DO have a chance to get a PS3! Nothing's stopping you! My tuition teacher has a PS3, she's a mother of 3 and she's 30! Having children of your own doesn't mean that you can't have a PS3. Who knows, when you buy it, you may play 2 players with your child(if he/she is old enough). But the PS3 is quite expensive, which explains why the graphics is really really good.

Now is a very bad time to be young. Restrictions against the young get worse every day. I hardly pick up the news that I don't read about some new curfew or age-based restriction going into effect. This age really is becoming "1984," but only for those under 18. I hated my childhood. It was a miserable time then, but it's only gotten worse since.

Happy with my own childhood. Theres nothing stopping you from enjoying some of things they have for kids today anyway. Stay young at heart.

It's as good a time now than any time....because it doesn't matter when we were children because we don't know what we missed from before or what we're missing in the future.

Although, children do have it easy nowadays they don't have as much freedom so I think it's an equal balance!
