I get a few who come to nibble on the grass every now and again.  My cat helps keep the numbers down.

yes especially when it is in the middle of the night and you hear the crunching sounds of little bunny teeth munching down on your carefully planted veggie garden

You mean as pets? Yes. They are more prone to predator attacks, and the weather. They do not live as long, esp. if you don't neuter them and allow them to procreate.
