i know one can't take the SAT more than thrice.

How do colleges calculate my real SAT score if i have taken it more than once?

do they just sum the best scores or they use the average?

  1. there's no problem with taking SAT multiple times

  2. I'm only speaking about the SAT here, I know nothing about  TOELF. Most colleges take the best total test, not the best score from each subsection of the test. I don't know of any colleges that average the test, but some colleges DO take the best subscores from each test, you'd just have to check around.

Oh, and taking the test multiple times doesn't count badly towards your admission. College admission officers want you to get the best score possible!
