Is it a miracle that I was cured?

Before I became an Atheist, I was constantly troubled by Acid Reflux. I mean, I used to pop Rolaids like they were candy. I could not eat anything without getting heartburn. It was terrible. Then shortly after I admitted their was no God, my stomach problems dried up. I have not had to take any antacid in years. It was if I gave up on God, and he gave me a miracle cure. I know there isn't a God, but I was just curious if you believers would count this as a Miracle. And if so, Why me, a devout and loud mouthed non-believer? Wouldn't this be more evidence pointing away from the existence of a god?

  1. you waisted 5 pts asking then.

  2. I would consider it more a side effect of stress relief.  No more worries about burning in h**l or thinking bad thoughts.  It's quite freeing, don't you think?

Glad to hear you are no longer troubled with acid reflux :-)

  3. It probably is a gift from Satan for your soul.

  4. Every good and perfect gift..comes from God.

  5. Myth: God cures everyone's disease!

Truth: God is not real. In fact, believing in God is shown to cause physical problems such as heartburn, stomach pain, and plauge.

Also there are mental problems such as ignorance, gulability, hatred, and Paranoid Schizophrenia.

  6. I had a similar experience.

  7. I'm glad you are cured, no matter what the reason. My six month old daughter suffers from it, and it's terrible! Maybe it was just God's way of showing you that he still loves and cares for you, even if you no longer believe in him. Good luck to you :)

  8. It sounds to me like you just quit worrying. Worrying about God and his judgment so you just quit and said there is no God. Worry can cause a lot of problems. Stop worrying, problems go away. No miracle.

  9. Maybe you have developed a taste for the c**p you have swallowed.

  10. I've talked to several doctors about this. I had severe acid reflux for much of my life and then it began decreasing to the point that I rarely had it. They all told me the same thing: the lower esophageal sphincter can actually regain strength over time, eliminating the reflux problem.

  11. Maybe it was the devil that gave you the acid reflux

  12. Neither. It was probably the anxiety of God watching your actions or going to h**l. Once you became an atheist, the "God Anxiety" went away.

  13. I don't know how or why you were cured, but I am happy for you that you are cured ((()))

Maybe the acid reflux was caused in part by the inner turmoil over your struggle with believing/not believing, and when you made a stand, the acid reflux subsided?  I don't get acid reflux, but I do get bad headaches and stomach pains when I am struggling with my beliefs from the stress
