Question:

Is it a mistake to take the SATs while you are sick?

I have cold right now, and while it is not too terrible, I'm very congested and therefore find it hard to concentrate, especially while reading. I took the SAT once before and got a 1330. I need to take it a second time to raise my score. Is it worth it to take it again, and risk getting a lower score because I'm sick? If I don't take it now, my only other choice is to wait until September.

  1. If you don't think you can concentrate, then don't take the test.  Also, if you are sniffing and coughing you may disturb the other students and wouldn't you be mad if someone was breaking your focus? However, most college deadlines are at the beginning of December.  So if you think you may need to take it a third time, I would take it now.  Otherwise, just wait.  It will give you more study time.  Good luck!
