Is it a must that I have to go to basic training in the Airforce Reserve?

I have no military experience but have a 4 year degree and want to know if I can sign up as an officer and go straight to Officer school.

You may want to check around with a couple other units, it's hard to get an officer slot in the reserves and guard.

is it a degree the AF wants? if so they will only send you a really short version of it to train you in military traditions and law.

I did not hear of any officers in basic when I was in.

If you're going as an officer, you go to OTS, you don't go to BMT.  But you'll have your type of basic training at OTS.

even officers must go through a form of basic Training..OCS..before they can be trained in their specific job.

so no, you cannot skip it.
