Is it a racist myth that Chinese people sometimes eat dogs and cats?

  1. It's more a part of Korean culture to eat dogs than ever is was China's. Certain rural parts of China have been known to eat dogs, but then again they will eat just about anything, being they've always been poor peasants. Dogs are cherished as pets by most Chinese like in any other western world. In fact, one of the oldest purebreed dogs in the world is China's Pekinese.


    As for eating cats, myth on top of myths. Cats like everywhere else were kept more for mice catchers than for consumption.
