  1. Beware!  There are so many scams, sometimes it's hard to tell who the real charities are!  There used to be one who called all the time, making us think it was for the Texas State Troopers, but it was only a name similar... which we found out later was a major scam.  (If you said, maybe I can send you $20 when I have some extra cash...  You'd then get a BILL in the mail stating you owed $20!  You'd even receive late bills requesting you pay your $20!!!  What a bunch of real winners!)  Give to local charities.  The SPCA always needs help, as does the food bank, local shelters, churches, schools, etc.  I try to give to the charities that are close to my heart.  I'm sure they will all appreciate anything you give!

  2. scam.if in doubt ,give nout.

  3. Hi I deeply resonate your ideas and feelings as I was on a similar quest few months ago. In order to find out more I just went looking for these jobs, as a charity seeker (the ones u find on high streets) and I started talking to people who are working in the industry.

Facts: People working on the high streets of London as charity seekers ( or whatever they call them) are paid GBP 8.00 and above per hour, for the job. Then the managers and administrative departments, the people behind them sitting in the offices, take a pretty hefty pay packages and towards the top of the pyramid the founder or the CEO, as case may be, of the charity organisation takes a bigger chunk (revelation of this amount will blow you off just as Katrina did cities in states).

Further I spoke to some law graduates pursuing human rights degrees. I was shocked to learn that there is tons of money to be made in this sector compared to other legal fields only if one starts off their own charity bussiness (yes it is purely a business for these individuals).

    How they do it:

The so called bussiness owner has to take control of few poor households and cover / protect / house / shelter / feed them and he can prove this evidence to be true for thousands justifying the need for large sums of cash.

Some charity organisations also (although not proven) offer money laundering services to some elite or mafia as they can save tons of tax and the owner of these get enormous amounts in their pay packs. Some charity organisations are purely money laundering facilities run in the names of some big mafia's / business men family members, when infact they just are a front for their money laundering activities.

    What can u do?

To answer this question I do not give any charity organisations any money but do my part by taking any poor I find to any restaurants for their meal, etc. And above all I pray for them.

If you think of any ways I can reach to these poor in better way please do mail me and let me know.

Hope I have been able to help you in reasonable terms. Many thanks.

  4. If it feels like a scam then it probably is.

  5. No I think that they do give your money to charities its for a good cause though I don't think its a scam but thats my opinion

  6. Its well known and a true fact that charities keep a large percentage of monies collected to pay for the running of the charity, ie large salaries , company cars expensis, and all other costs,  A very small amout of the money that you donate actually goes to good use ,

    so yes its a scam

  7. u should only donate money to people who show u der ID cos they ahve to carry it with them if they want to raise money. If it is online, u shud only donate money to well known charities
