Is it a sin to have someone blowing smoke all over your Bible?

My BF smokes sometimes, especially when we do bible study. I hate smoking, but if we sit outside it is ok.

The other day he was blowing smoke all over the Bible and I was furious with him. He said that there is nothing wrong with it and I must shut up.

Do you think it is a sin to smoke with a Bible inyour hand?

He's being disrespectful toward your religion, and if he tells you to "shut up", and continues to do behave in a way that causes you distress, he's being disrespectful toward you.

You should ask your boyfriend not to smoke while the two of you are doing Bible Study.Tell him that you don't like it. If his smoking outside or other times doesn't bother you, also let him know that, I have C.O.P.D I am on oxygen 24/7. I smoked for 30 years. I was put on oxygen 6 years after I quit smoking. I have had close friends as well as family members die of lung cancer. It is a horrible, painful death. While your question is only about his blowing smoke on your Bible I will pray that he will quit smoking.

Bible study is a Holy time, Smoke covering a bible... isn't good. If it damages the bible, or if it accidentally catches fire... It could be a VERY bad happening. :(

Not so much as a sin but basic respect.  When you blow smoke on books, the smell gets in the pages and when you open up that book, you will smell the smoke, so telling you that there is nothing wrong with doing that is a bold faced lie.  You don't want your bible smelling like cigarettes.

What? How is it possibly a sin? It's a book. It's easy enough to get another copy of it. The words in it are important but the individual copy isn't.

Blowing smoke on it cannot possibly affect God, or your faith, or the words inside the Bible or anything else at all really. What happens if you accidentally tear a page in your Bible or dropped it in a puddle or something. Do you think that would be a sin too?

I wouldnt call it a sin, but it is disrespectful to you.  Now smoking in itself may be considered sin, since it does do harm to the temple of the Holy Spirit.
