If so, can you point me towards the exact verse of the Bible, Koran etc.

  1. The Bible does not list it as a sin, but actually gives rules for the ethical treatment of them so that they will love their masters. Note that slaves in the Bible were not always based on race and this rule cannot be used to support racism. In modern times, it can't even be used to support slavery, since it is against our national laws and is not a requirement of the faith. It only says that it is allowed, not necessary, so if your local laws don't allow it, then leave it be.

  2. What is the essence of slavery?  What does it imply?   How does one man treat another in an owner slave relationship?  Is slavery doing unto others as you would have them do unto you?

Read book of Philemon in the Bible.  It is a letter written to a slave owner on behalf of his escaped slave.  What does verse eight imply?  How about verses 16 and 17.  Paul out of love appeals to the slave owner to treat his slave as a partner and no longer a slave.  Paul implies that by right He could demand this response but is rather giving the slave owner the opportunity to in his heart chose to do what is right by his own volition, not by force.  What an example, Paul implored when he could have demanded.  He was setting an example to this slave owner.   It is not the nature of Christ to force anyone to follow him, rather he invites.  So you, follower of Jesus, I invite you to not use the 'force' of slavery upon another human.  Treat this man not as your slave but as your brother.

Matthew chapters 5,6,&7 records much of Jesus' teaching on the attitudes of our hearts toward others.  How would the nature of slavery compare to what Jesus taught here?

  3. Exodus 21

    Deuteronomy 15:16

    Exodus 21:7

Oh and just in case you get some of that ''Old Testament isn't admissible because Jesus came and blahblahblah"

    Here's a kicker:

    Matthew 5:17-20

He actually makes some of these laws even more severe and unjust. Despotic, even
