does anyone kno wat it's called?

a living room that you step into like the sofas at ur feet than u walk down some steps and your in the living room they mostly have them in penthouse suits well at least whenever i see one in the movies anyways im asking because i want to make it in the sims 2 but i dont kno how n i cant find any video tutorial due to the fact that i dont kno wat it's called so please help me!
