Question:

Is it a tooth... or am I going nuts?

My daughter is 6 months and one week. About a week ago I noticed that I could see a tooth under her gums down the bottom in the middle... now I know that's normal. But just now, I was checking it out again and I think she actually already has a tooth poking through up the top on the side (around where the left incisor would come through). I can just see this white bit but I can't get a really good look so I don't know if it is or not... it definitely wont wipe away and feels hard and pointy... Is this even possible... has it ever happened to you or anyone you know of?

  1. its possible. and congrats on you babies new chomper!

  2. My 6 month old has 4 teeth. It is normal for us!

I found that when I rubbed my finger around his gums I could feel the sharp little teeth trying to poke through the gums. So if you feel something it's probably teeth.

  3. It is possible, there is no law that says what order the teeth will come in.  Most children follow the same pattern, but not all.  It's really not anything to worry about.

  4. I would guess it to be a tooth. my 6 month old has 6 teeth 4 on top and 2 on the bottom

  5. Someone posted a question about this before...so, yes, it is possible.

  6. Of course that's very normal and a lot of babies get tops before bottoms I have twins and ones getting her tops and the other is getting her bottoms LOL
