  1. YES! you need to do some pampering (get your nails done, or a pedicure) and do some major realxing. Get (or try to ) plenty of sleep. You'll need to look fresh for your big day. Congrats!!!

    15 days n counting

  2. i took the thursday and friday off before my saturday wedding because i wanted to get my nails done and go to the reception place to decorate, etc. but my hubby didn't take any time off.

  3. I took off that Thursday and Friday and my fiance took off Tuesday and the rest of the week, Mine was job releated so I couldnt take off a day or two earlier like him. You kind of need to so you ont feel rushed, do last minute detail work, pick up things, get your nails done and etc....

  4. sure. you may need a haircut, you may want to get a massage or other spa services (remember relaxation is not just for the girls). and just to be there for your fiance. she may need help with something so it's good to make your self available if need be. congratulations and good luck.

  5. It depends. Are you taking all of your available vacation time to go on your honeymoon? If not, it'd be helpful to your bride if you can take a couple of days off to run errands for her (like getting out of town guests from the airport).

  6. My wedding is next weekend on saturday. My future hubby is taking off friday- since we have so many family members and friends flying in and he needs to spend some time (other than the wedding day and day after) with them and just relax!

  7. No  last minute things

  8. Yeah you might want to help your bride make all the phone calls to confirm everything and to help with any last minute stuff. Congrats.

  9. yeah i would.  to get ready and have some fun with friends and make last mintue arrangements

  10. You might need to do some last minute things and to make sure everything is set. Ask your fiance.

  11. My husband went to work until about 11 am on Friday, then went to pick up my aunt from the airport (I had to stay home and entertain his family). He had already picked up the tux a few evenings before, and I had pretty much taken care of the wedding planning and everything else. He had gotten a haircut the weekend before that, and we spent most of the rest of the time right up until leaving for the wedding finishing building our fence on Saturday afternoon.

So unless you've got something major to do (like fence in your yard), I wouldn't worry about taking more than a half-day or day off. You'll have the whole honeymoon to relax.

  12. well the most obvuious thing is that you need to be there as support to your fiancee so that if anything goes wrong you can be there for her- she will be stressed so maybe plan to hang out with mates and just be availble at the drop of a hat.

Most people I know of would jump at the chance to have some extra time off work!

It could just be that if you are going on your honeymoon straight after the wedding then u need to get things done around the house and packing before you go.

  13. I am sure that your bride will appreciate any extra help you throw her way that week.  My husband had the entire week prior  to our wedding off.  It was great because he was available to help with last minute errands.

    Congrats and good luck!

  14. Depends. Do you have a wedding planner or a reception venue that is doing most of the decorating work? Are you having a simple wedding like a backyard BBQ that will require little preparation? If so, you probably don't need any days off except Friday.

If you and your fiance are in charge of decorating, making any food, etc, then you should probably take another day or two off to help her. Plus you'll need plenty of time to do laundry and pack if you're having a honeymoon.

Just depends on your situation. :) Talk to your fiance' about it!
