  1. There is some Commander responsible for the soldiers used or the equipment used.  Find out who it is.  Then write a formal letter of complaint to the Commander about the event,  how the soldiers or equipment was used,  the type of Christian prayer used and how it appears it promoted that religion.    Then ask the Commander to ensure in the future that any prayers be non-denominational.

Or next time refuse to attend the event as it upset you so much.

  2. depends on where this sporting event was (who sponsored it).  If it is a function/event at a privately owned business or facility.. it may be that there is no law being violated at all.

An analogy is that soldiers and equipment are used every day at funerals, which are private events, and there is nothing illegal in any way about this.

  3. They have a prayer in congress every day.

I assume that the soldiers are there for a purpose or to do the flag ceremonies and that the sporting event is the main purpose and not the religion, I don't see that this would violate the law   Howeer, federal laws on religion are a bit hard to figure at times.  Can't keep a person from offering a prayer.  But in some cases might be inappropriate in some public forums like a school.

AI doubt there is any problem there, but could certainly protest the use of soldiers or even prayer in a public sporting even if the event is a public school or some public place rather than a private event that is rnot run by the government.  I am not an attorney so this is not legal advice.

  4. The first amendment to the Constitution states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

To this day I don't think Congress has made a law to prevent this situation. Hmm I guess if they did it would be in violation of the first amendment of the Constitution!

  5. What it really comes down to is this...

Which Master do your serve?  Man or the Living God?  you cannot do both...we are instructed to spead the Good News of the Living Word.

Violation against who?  Man or God?
