Not really. Do you have any exceptional talents. You can go to google and type in "get a freelancer" and go to the website. You can then do a bunch of things for people and they will pay you. You can create websites, etc...

Just go look at the site and see if you are talented enough in any of the categories, and then you can sign up for an account and start bidding on projects.

In general you will get paid because the person paying you puts the money in an escrow account with get a freelancer and it is sent to you when the project is done, unless you do not provide the service completely.

Yes, there definately are.  Anything that charges you to join is a scam.  A lot of paid surveys sites are free to join.  My favorite program, however, is a GPT site (also free to join) because it lets me work whenever I want.  If you'd like some links to some good sites, send me a message, I'll be glad to help out!
