Is it abnormal to want something that MOST people do not want?

example - to want a zebra for a pet. does it make that person abnormal?

  1. you're just "different" and there's nothing abnormal about that.


  2. it's not abnormality but rather creativity...you just don't want to be just like the other but rather you are curious for more and wanna experience a different thing...

  3. not really and who cares. whats wrong with wanting an exotic pet. ( or anything different for that matter )

  4. Certainly not. You are simply being yourself... We all have wants that may be perverted to others, but what can we do, it's what we want. It's not like we're really having it right? We only want it, not need it... wanting is way way different from needing... If you want it, and you can afford it, what's stopping you for having it? Everybody just have to accept the fact that you want things they don't.

  8. No, it just means that you like zebras!  

    Sometimes I find it best to not overanalyze how "normal" you are.  Unless it has to do with a psychological issue, I'd just see it as part of your individuality!

  11. No.  To each his own; what you want may not be what others want and vice versa.  Nothing abnormal in that.  

    Go on...do as you like even if others don't.  Have a zebra for a pet, it's not anyone's worry.  Just take care that you don't go overboard and think of erasing those lines off the zebra's skin. lol!
