Yes. It is "acceptable." (Who would UNaccept it?) I think you'd be surprised to find out how many nurses who are male are out there.

Not just the ER... all over.

yes,, of course...there's no rule that bans a guy nurse in the ER...

guy doctors can operate so a nurse is not an exemption to that....

Yes. Between my car accident, my husband's surgery, and my elderly mother's hospitalization in another state, I've recently met several male nurses. They have all been wonderful, very caring and competent.
