Its accepted, just unheard of, as women usually don't wear neckties. Said woman might look strange due to us being used to the norm, but I don't see anything wrong with it.

yes, traditional school uniforms in Uk the girls and boys always wore neckties - there are many female celebs that wear neckties current and past - I think it looks great
