I read allot in the old testament where the bible God commands his followers to fight wars and kill even the babies and animals of the people they are fighting against and i saw that some Christians justify it by saying that the enemy was Pagans so it was ok to kill the babies and animals, why is it ok to kill Pagans and their children in your religion?

  1. "Ms. Lady" is correct. That's what the Jews believe. Christians do not believe in this act. Jesus said to LOVE ALL.

  2. Of course it's not ok in our religion.

Jesus didn't go around killing anyone - and we are to make our attitude and actions the same as His.  Besides, there's that whole do unto others thing.... not advisable to be killing ppl whose beliefs differ from yours ;)

    God Bless

  3. No, Jesus said to love our enemies and do good to those that curse us.

  4. I'd love to see a christian try and harm me.  There's a reason I choose to have an eight pound sledge hammer as my holy symbol....

  5. There is really more to an answer to this question than you think.  Some parts of christianity would turn a blind eye to it if it would not give them bad press or look bad to other christians.  I am so sorry to say that but it is true.  A lot of the ones who say that it isn't done now or isn't okay....I wonder just how against it they would be if our laws were not in effect that we have in this country.  It happens in other places in this world as well as the killing of christians by others.  It comes down to society and what it will accept and not accept.  We like to think that our society at this time wouldn't tolerate it but if our laws didn't stop it would the general christian population rise up and stop others of their own religions from doing it if they were using their own Bible to justify it???  That is the real test of christianity and At this point I think they, the majority would sit on their hands, watch the carnage and then condemn it after it was done.  In other words they'd let the fanatics do their dirty work.  Then think that their hands were clean.

  6. apparently so.

i mean, look at St. Patrick's day.

  7. The Old testament is before Jesus.

In the new testament everything it says and god said follow the word of jesus in the new testament is the word of Jesus and what he thinks is acceptable. I don't think he'd think that killing a pagan is right.

  8. Christians over time have killed almost every kind of person.

The unfortunate list of victims includes: Blasphemers, Homosexuals, Moslems, Jews, other Christians, Witches, Free Thinkers, Atheists, Scientists, Medical Practitioners, Children, Heathens, Gypsies, Indigenous Persons, Communists.

  9. Christians follow the Ten Commandments, one of them being: "You Shall Not Kill."

All that other junk is dark age political stuff disguised as religion. Back then the peasants fell for it but we are far more enlightened to believe that killing is okay just because the king said so and that the victims were not christian, RIGHT?

  10. This is a very insightful question. Perhaps this is the reason so many religious people turned a blind eye when the president said "lets have a preemptive strike." While Jesus actually said "Turn the other cheek."

So I think you made brilliant discovery here. People justify killing by picking what they want from the Bible.

Thanks for the question. Quote a startling insight.

  11. Pagans are generally peaceful people who just want to be left alone.  The Old Testament is warped, anyway

  12. well you can try. But just remember we have the right to bear arms.

  13. to the pagans Xtains are the Pagans

  14. Yes. Same goes to Quran

    Convert or die

  15. Of course it is! It's in the bible. The word of god and he loves us and the pagans too. isn't god great?

  16. No, the Old Testament was given to the Jewish people.  Christianity superceded the old law.  Sadly, some people have used Christianity and other religions as excuses to do violence, but that is not what it is about.

  17. It clearly exposes the true horrible evil nature of

their religion. I'm glad you had the brains to see

that... it's amazing how many people don't even

    know or care.

Although they may try to deny it, just look at the

history books and see the millions of people that

they have murdered. Only now that they have killed

all those who disagreed with them, do they want to

turn around and pretend that it's not important...

Some say the religion is good but it was just a few

people who made some little mistakes... no it was

the chronic policy of the religion for 1500 years to

commit mass murder, and it was lead by high

ranking officials such as Bishops and Popes... it

was not just a few isolated mistakes.

    Check out this history link...

That's how Christianty really started... and what it's

    really all about.

There certainly are some nice people in their group

who have been tricked into thinking the religion is one

of peace, but as the truth becomes more well know

in the coming years, we will see who admits that the

religion is horrible and leaves it, or who still wants to

hide the truth and keep the evil empire going.

You might say that it took a long time, but the bill is

coming due, and it's going to be a "h**l" of a big one.

  18. It's not even acceptable for a God to kill his own son.

  19. that was the 'old' covenant

    this is the 'new' covenant

....we can only kill communists now

  20. the old testament is the Jewish law. there were no Christians in the old testament. so your question is for the Jews, not the Christians. no, it's not right to murder anyone.

Jesus said to love and pray for your enemies and that's exactly what i do.

  21. May I say why was it o.k. for Pagan Romans to slaughter Christians as  a form of entertainment.

  22. this not good......but in islam , it has been told that during the war between muslims and non-believers, if someone wants peace(even if he doesn't accept Islam), take him to a safer place.

  23. sure it is, jesus said so!

  24. that is where fear of  witches come from. the christians decided to make people scared of them so that it was ok to kill them. alot of pagan celebrations were hijacked by christians and gradually all pagans had to practice in secret. is god really forgiving because if he was that would never of happened

  25. yeah. assuming you arent nit-picking the bible.

    meaning you accept it all.

  26. *looks over shoulder*

    I sure hope not!
