Is it advisable to go biking from Mt. Waverley to Monash?

I'm a student at Monash University. My classes are usually at Clayton Campus and I live at Mt. Waverley near the Syndal Train Station. Do you think it is advisable to go biking on my way to school? What kind of bike should I get?

Hello. If i was you i would keep going by train as it is alot safer trust me. It can be dangerous. Sorry that is all i can say. Take care and keep smiling.

You could ride a bike, as it is not very far, but the traffic is quite heavy a lot of the time and it could be rather dangerous. It would be easier and quicker just to catch a bus up Blackburn Rd from outside Syndal Station..
