  1. No.  Personally I find it very annoying to be given a web address, only to find the site is not yet built.  I probably wouldn't bother going back to it, unless its for something I really need.

  2. Yes, absolutely yes. The earlier you get it out there the better

What we tend to do is build a few pages to completion, upload it, start driving traffic to it and then continue adding other pages.

When you think about it, a website is never really done. There is always new content to add, things to edit and tweak. The advantage of getting it out and starting to drive traffic to it is website age goes a long way in your search engine results pages

  3. No not really advisable.  Id be put off myself if I saw a 'site under construction'.

  4. yah u can do that just be like coming soon blah blah blah website it would be good to have a date that it will come out though  that way u will have customers when it first opens

  5. No. It's the most annoying thing ever to see a site under construction and I never go back

  6. It's not particularly advisable, as visitors are greatly put off by websites that aren't fully functional, or that are still in development. Personally, I would wait until it was fully set up and functional, then issue a press release on various forums and websites.

  7. As a user, I would say no...going to a web site that is still under construction usually means I won't go back since I can't be bothered to try to figure out when it will be up and running - not to mention that if I click an advertised link and get "Under Construction" I will be further upset for someone wasting my time.
