Is it against child labor laws...?

For a 12 ( almost thirteen) year old girl to apply for a job as a bus-girl? I live in Connecticut if that makes any difference. And I need money.

may be she has no help  that makes her to look for a job

You can't work under the age of 14 in Connecticut. unless you work in the entertainment or fashion industry. and even at age 15 or 16 you can only work so many hours a week.

i always thought that 16 was the legal age for a job
