  1. I am not a lawyer, but need more details to possibly help you.  Firsty, I must say the UN is completely unreliable and very, very anti-Americann... believe me. According to International law, Democracy is "on its way to becoming a global entitlement, one that increasingly will be promoted and protected by collective international processes." If you feel that its your right to show the Canadians where you are from, I think you should do it and worry about any problems resulting later. It depends too whether or not you are staying in Canada for a long time. In that case, try getting their license plate (I do not know how)

  2. If you are just visiting the country and have driven to Canada from the USA, Mexico or Latin America, those plates are fine. However, if you move to Canada, you are required to register the vehicle in the province of your residence within a short time, generally 10 days.

Since you cannot drive to Canada from any other countries, the question becomes moot for them.

  3. Canadian residents cannot drive US or other foreign plated vehicles.  Other foreign nationals, like those from the US or Mexico can drive their foreign plated vehicles in Canada.

If you have purchased a vehicle outside of Canada, you must legal import it to and register it with the RIV.  You will be able to get Canadian plates when you provide proof of importation with the CBSA and registration with the RIV.
