  1. I personally know of a guy I worked with who was given a ticket for going to slow. he actually went out of his way to go to a busy two lane road so he could hold traffic up. to him it was a big joke.

  2. Traffic laws vary from state to state.  But most states may cite you for driving less than 10 mph below the posted speed limit on highways, expressways, freeways, etc.  On streets you're allowed a little more flexibility.

The reason for the law is because by driving slow you cause traffic congestion, which may result in accidents due to unsuspecting drivers thinking the traffic is flowing at the normal speed and suddenly back end a car in front of them.

Another thing to consider, if you drive slow you are subject to be stopped by police because many may suspect you're under the influence.

  3. yes, quite. if you think about it, it can cause just as many accidents as speeding...

  4. It can be, if you are impeding traffic. The speed limits set the maximum speed. If it is raining or snowing, then obviously you should go slower. It really depends on the circumstances.

But, yes, it is POSSIBLE. If you're going 30 MPH on the freeway, then YES, absolutely, because you would be causing cars to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting you. Not safe. Can you share more details?

  5. yes.you can get a ticket for going to slow just as well as for going to fast.

  6. Technically speaking, yes. The difference is I have never heard anyone get a ticket however. Nor have I seen or heard of anyone being pulled over for it as well.

    >>Has anyone else heard of such or gotten ticketed? That is the real question

  7. Yes it is, if your car can't do the speed limit, they will take it off the road.

  8. I did see someone get pulled over for going to slow once.  There was at least 1-mile of traffic lined up behind him/her on a road where passing was impossible.  You've never heard so many cheers outside a sports stadium.

  9. <<<<<<<<<YES>>>>>>>>
