  1. well I hope not...I do it

  2. actually yes it is against the law to ride and listen to music this is because you can not hear traffic behind you or emergency vehicles coming up and passing you.

to tell the truth I listen to my shuffle while riding but in only one ear (my left) so I can hear traffic coming up behind me.

  3. Per the uniform vehicle code, it is a violation to have earpieces/headphones in both ears.  No different than driving a car.

  4. It depends on the state law and where you are riding.  In my state (MD) it is illegal to wear headphones when operating a motor vehicle.  Bikes are treated as motor vehicles (with some exceptions such as not being allowed on roads where the posted speed is over a certain limit) so I'd assume the rule would apply to bikes too however I've never heard of anyone getting pulled over on their bike for wearing headphones.   If you're not riding on the road in other words on a bike path, etc) , I would think it would be fine.

  5. check state and local laws. some states do regulate the use of head phones. in some places, it's an outright ban, in others, you may wear only one earpiece..

  6. Its not too smart if you have both earpieces on and are on a road traveled by cars and trucks that you have to share that road with. But i think it is Not illegal and i doubt a cop would give you a ticket or hard time over it.  http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/tm_objectid...   http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/artic...  http://www.cbc.ca/canada/calgary/story/2...
