I'm only 13 years old and my dad doesn't want me to meet up with my auntie for the day but I want to meet up with her. So is it against the law if she wants to take me out for the day because thats what my dad thinks .

  1. Its not illegal but at 13, your father is responsible for you and if he says no and you go ahead he could call the police and it would cause a lot of trouble.

  2. Yes and if the Aunt knows the and takes you anyway, she could be charged with kidnapping.  Listen to your dad I'm sure he has a good reason.

  3. If you legal guardian does not permit you to go somewhere or see someone (your "auntie") then you cannot by law. If she knew that your father made this rule and still met up with you then she would get in trouble.

  4. A parent has the right to raise a child the way he sees fit and if he sees fit to say you can't see auntie, then you are obliged to follow his rules.  In fact, auntie could be guilty of kidnapping if she takes you with your permission but without your father's.  A child who continually refuses to obey a parent is known as an incorrigible child and can end up in in the care of the state.

  5. You Auntie should not be encouraging you to disobey your fathers wishes.  You have not said why your father does not want you to have contact with her, if there has been a family dispute you should discuss it with your father and try to find a solution and say that their row is nothing to do with you.

  6. No it is not against the law.

HOWEVER, be warned if your father really is set against you meeting your Auntie for the day he COULD report it to the cops as an abduction and get your relative in to a world of problems.  It really comes down to how against meeting her your dad is.

  7. Well if theres like an order from the courts saying that she isnt allowed near you then yes, but if there is nothing preventing yous from seeing eachother (like an order from the courts) and its just your dad doesnt like her and thats the reason then there is no law aginst it.

  8. Unless you're having s*x with her, it's not illegal at all.

  9. Yes. At 13, your father IS the law.

That's all there is to say about it.

  10. In the UK, it might be for your aunt if your parents do not give her authority to be responsible for you it might amount to an offence under the Child Abduction Act 1984.

  11. Why would it be against the law for you to meet up with your auntie? Go for it. Spend some time with her.

  12. You NEED to give MORE DETAILS,  since your a minor, your dad could have her arrested for  Kidnapping,  why won't he let you go with her?  are they at war?  what does your mom think?    you should give more details and tell us more information, so we can help you.  but since you are 13, you have to obey your dad or she could be arrested.  so go work it out,   good luck!

  13. Nope.  it is rude to go against your dads wishes, and I am sure he has his reason for not wanting you to go with her, but not illegal.
