  1. buy a freaking soda . have some manners ya  cheap aXX

  2. I think they could charge you with loitering. try to order something, at  least a soda, to be able to remain for a short while. Or hit the library, Im sure its cool there also.

  3. They do have rules against loitering so if you are not eating anything then yes they have a right to ask you to leave.  If its so hot outside, stay in the library and study.  The library is air conditioned and you may just learn something.

  4. Yes, they can and they will. They can also call the police and have you arrested for loitering.  As long as you purchase something they cannot ask you to leave. You must understand, their establishment is for customers who pay to eat/drink.  It is not a social hall. yes, I do know how hot it can become in Arizona.  Why not ordera cold drink, refills are free as long as you stay inside.  Study and have something to cold to drink. Or lok for a library, you can be there as long as you wish with iout being kicked out or arrested. Or try a wi-fi coffee shop and study, but again, you will have to purchase something. My best thought is go to the library and study, or 2nd buy a soft drink and sit at KFC.

  5. It depends on what part of Arizona you are in but certain cities have laws that require businesses to grant a cup of water to any person that asks when the heat gets to be too high (not necessarily bottled but at least from the tap). You might want to contact your local elected official to ask for clarification on this and how it works in your area.

I know not all businesses are even aware of how these kinds of regulations affect them. Once when I was getting coffee and a homeless man asked for water they denied him but I knew that the mayor had just passed an ordinance requiring all businesses in that area to have iced water for ALL individuals whether or not they were customers due to the rise in deaths of transients from the 100+ degree heat. I had to step in and remind the manager of this ordinance. They still treated both of us like c**p but that man was able to get some water.

But again this is about being in real danger from overheating and not wanting to hang out somewhere with a/c. If you need a place to hang out with friends  then I suggest going somewhere like the library for the free a/c or heading home.
