Ive been getting abusive texts and i wondered if i could get them done by the police

  1. its not against the law to swear in text messages its called the right to a freedom of speech, however you can get a restraining order provided with a non -verbal contact as well as up to 500 yards if you want.


  2. It can be considered harassment if it is continuing if you have asked the person who is doing it to stop.

    They'll just write up a police report.

    Maybe you can get your cell phone company to block that number?

  3. it is not illegal in the US to swear verbally or in print.

    that doesn't mean something else might not be available to you, but you didn't ask that.
