  1. Yes, a point is awarded to the opposition after a volley on any serve

  2. Yes because a point isn't valid until the service lands in the service box. Therefore volleying the oppoents serve is against the rules.

  3. yes...the ball MUST bounce in a serve...As my old tennis coach put it.."It must bounce in to be in", you know what i mean.

  4. yes it is against the rule and a point is awarded to the server... a proper way to recieve is to let the ball bounce first before u return it when recieving a serve..

  5. it should bounce first before you hit it...

  6. Yes, that's against the rules.  The ball must bounce in the service box before you can return it.

  7. Yup, if the serve didn't bounce in the service box & ya hit a return volley shot, that's illegal & ya loose a point. Sorry, ya have to wait for the serve ball to bounce in, before ya return it.

  8. Yeah, you can only volley when it is not a serve, volleying is not allowed on serves. It would make the game easier but they do not allow it.

The reason why is that you should get a fair serve with no interference + you should also let it bounce to determine if it would be in or out.

    Hope I explained well.

    Phil.
