Is it allowed to bring a real gun replica on board?

I bought a replica of antique gun which look so real as souvenir. is it allowed to bring this item on board? or should i just put it in the luggage bag (well, if this is allowed)

  1. Put it in a checked bag.  Inform the check-in agent at the bag check area, not curbside about what you have.  You may have to declare it as a firearm and place it in a hard side bag.

    Even though it cannot be fired, don't place it in carry-on.

    but you can check it, just have to sign a declaration that it isn't loaded. it also has to be in a hardsided, locked box.

  4. If you can prove it can't fire you might get way with it but it's not worth the hassle.  Just put it in the checked luggage.
