  1. Contact lenses its a maybe. If you are not putting drops in your eyes after Fajr then its OK but using eye drops other than for medical purposes no. Your not allowed to brush your Teeth after Fajr never mind at noon. Once you start fasting that's it, nothing till Maghrib.

    Peace to you...

    EDIT

I cannot believe all the previous people said YES! OM Goodness its not permissible definitely not.....

Siwak is your own mouth fluids its not toothpaste or water.

@Roah - Your "bad breath" from fasting during Ramadan is more sweet smelling to Allah than anything.

And eye drops go into your eye and down the back of your throat just for your info.

"There are two occasions of Joy for one who fasts, joy when he breaks it and joy when he meets his lord and the breath (of an observer of fast) is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of Musk"

@Dawn - Thanks for that brother :) Peace to you...

  2. Yes and Yes =]

Your not supposed to get in the way of your hygiene!! Just don't swallow the water or tooth paste :P

For people that say 'no' to brushing your teeth. How much of the water do you guys swallow. I mean why complicate the uncomplicated things in life. I'd hate to have bad breath all day as well..

If people say that your not allowed to place objects in any of the open cavities of the body you simple reply:

"Our eyes are not considered as open cavities on our body."

Therefore, you are allowed to wear contact lenses during fasting

  3. Ofcourse yes! Except if you mistakenly take contact lens as food and you swallow it... lol!

Ramadan Kareem in advance to all..

  4. Ofcourse you can wear contact lens and it is allowed to brush teeth  but make sure u dont swallow the paste :P

  5. Both are allowed in any time .

  6. Contact lenses are absolutely ok. Two school of thoughts of use of toothpaste. Traditionally a wooden stick called Miswak or Neem twig is permissible during fasting.Use them like tooth brushes.Else use tooth paste and ensure no fluid seeps down your throat. Allah knows best.

  7. if you don't see it as food supplement then it is YES for both.

  8. Yep , ofcourse..

  9. yes for both.

    Allah is the knower.

    Edit:

@ She Said your right, sorry didn't realize 'noon'

use Siwak or brush without using a toothpaste.
