i wouldn't be surprised to see pennington end up as the back up in.... dallas. They're only carrying brad johnson and tony romo right now. I don't think the vikes are a lock for pennington just yet...

It would be a logical move for the Vikings. A solid back-up for T-Jack, who at times has been less than reliable. But, football picks don't always follow the contemporary logic.

I'd have pegged him going to the Packers instead myself.  

To put the stupidity of the whole Favre situation in perspective consider this:  Minnesota's "inexperienced" starting QB Tarvaris Jackson has more starts, passes, touchdowns, and NFL wins than all of Green Bay's QB's COMBINED now that Favre's gone.  Plus, the Vikes have Gus Ferrote (sp?) as Jackson's backup already.

I'd think that Green Bay is going to have to pick up 1 veteran NFL QB at some point before the season starts in case Rodgers gets hurt or just isn't very good etc.  It seems that Pennington is going to be out of a job as of about 4:00pm today, so why wouldn't Green Bay pick him up as a mentor or insurance for Aaron Rodgers?  I would if I were them.
