Is it alright for a 15 year old to run for 30 minutes daily?

i have been running 30 minutes daily on the ymca running machine my pace is 9.5.is it normal for my blood to feel hot and my body to heat up alot?i have been doing this for 30 days but sometimes when i stand up from a chair or couch i feel dizzy and feel like i wanna fall,but i do eat well no meat and no junk food.

  1. You need to eat meat, meat is part of eating well.

    And thirty minutes is nothing. You're fine. :)


  2. Its not only "alright" to run the way you say but also a positively good thing from a health point of view.  The hot feeling after extreme exercise is quite normal.

    The dizziness you describe is called postural hypotension.  (Essentially temporary low blood pressure.)  If this only happens directly after the hard running exercise, it is probably OK, but if it happens at other times (e.g. when you are resting), I would check it out with a doctor.

  3. thats completely healthy. When i was in cross country, we ran 6 miles or 2 hours daily and im still alive! so any health site would tell you that a person that wants to lose weight should exercise half an hour daily so what you are  doing is good for you and is definetly NOT too much! just be SURE to stretch BEFORE AND AFTER you workout, also, get ur protein and fiber, a carbs, ect. hope i helped!!!

  4. You need your meat :)

    Great job on the excersing but the reason you feel dizzy is the fact that your body is telling you that you're not getting all the nutrients you need. Make sure you follow a food guide (search Canada's Food Guide on google; its an awsome food guide).


  5. dude if you want to develop into a good runner you need your iron and protien from meat.

    you have only been doing this for a month so your body still isn't used to it but you proboly should make sure you eat something imeadieatly after you run like a lolly frog or something sweet to give you a small aount of energy.

    also running on a machine is an illusion of running in real life so your body expects the ground to move away from it with every step.

  6. eat meat man the protein is what helps rebuild your muscles and the dizziness could be a lack of iron in the blood which is gained through meat products and 30 minutes isn't bad at all nuthin is wrong with more excercise

  7. Hmm u might b anemic, i am. I am a runner for track y r u runnin on a tredmill? U get more of a workout when ur runnin outside cuz u have heat wind etc. 30 mins is a little bit i am 15 too and know we have to run a few miles mostly like 4 miles a day with our team we go to different cities running jungle runs are the best. Awm then we go back later on again and run and train more. So 30 mins. is very lil.'
