  1. I don't think you should get into the habit of trying to alter your natural energy levels. You are 11 years old for goodness sakes! You don't need that.

I really believe no one needs it. What ever happened to people using their own natural abilities?

The main concern I have is that a person who starts wanting to "take things" to alter their feelings may end up taking drugs. I know that sounds like a stretch, but think about it.

Drugs are used to alter yourself.

    It is a lifestyle now-a-days

  2. Lay off those energy drinks. They are bad for people your age.

  3. go for it!!!!

    yay sugar sugar sugar

  4. It's probably ok every once in a while, but I would worry about constant use--I know that a lot of adults become hung over similarly to when they have drunken too much alcohol.  This is because when the rush of carbs and caffeine dies down you feel the exhaustion even more so since if you need to drink these drinks, you've probably overtaxed yourself more so than you would have without the drink.  Then add this to the stress on a growing body, even if you aren't caffeine sensitive, I would personally say no.

  5. Energy drinks aren't good for anyone. They thin your blood and if you drink a lot of them, you could bleed to death from a small cut. If you really like them, It's ok to drink them in moderation, but dont overdo it.

  6. my opinon

its okay but its bad for you. just drink it every few months like 3-6 months.

too much is bad for you :)

o yeah, why are you on yahoo answers :p

your so young to be on this

    LOL

    js

  7. Well there not healthy for anyone, and they can be a little addicting. But hey if your parents don't care and you don't drink them to much go for it. AMP is the best in my opinion.

  8. There's nothing wrong with it.  As long as you don't drink it too much.  2-3 weeks is fine.

  9. No its bad for their heart also why would you want to hype up a 11 yr old even more than they are.

  10. Thats like giving them crack! Come on use some common since??

I have an 11 yr old child, & neither my husband nor I would EVER let him have an energy drink.

He has a heart condition anyways, but even if he didnt I still would not let him have that c**p!

Thos drinks arnt good dor anyone, let alone a child!

  11. The problem with drinks like the ones you have named is that they have VERY high levels of caffeine.

So, unfortunately they really would not be suitable, as they could mess around with the brain chemistry of a child.

At that age (11-12) s/he's probably just coming up to puberty, so too much caffeine could have effects on his or her  development ~ including causing high blood pressure and affecting bone density (see link below).

It's hard because kids see people drinking this stuff and want to try it, but in this case, it would be best to say 'no'.

    Best wishes :-)

  12. yea rockstar the best it dosent really hurt you it just pumps you up

  13. Well it's not illegal, but I personally don't think anyone should be drinking those!  They make your heart race and are very unhealthy!

  14. A child that has not finished going through puberty(any 11 year old male, 4 instance) can have their thyroid, adrenal, and other glands ruined, even their testes, by some of the ingredients in energy drinks.  The drinks are formulated for adults, who have lost a step or two(happens to us all) and have a mature endocrine system.  The sweeteners in those drinks are made from a wood alcohol (esther of wood resin) and are very dangerous, they can cause severe high blood pressure, and last, but not least, eventually will just make the user feel tired, so...NO!

  15. Energy drinks r really bad for ur body regardless of age.  However, if u drink it sparingly, like once a week, you'll be fine.  I personally hate them.  They have absolutely no effect on me.  They don't wake me up at all, and they make it really hard for me to fall asleep at night.  Hope that helps.

  16. sure why not..its perfectly fine...they dont even give you energy.. and its once ever couple of weeks so chillax

  17. I would say NO if they arent good for my father in law who is 40 then no not at all I would say for an 11 yr old he had to quit drinking redbull  all together it almost caused him to have a stroke

  18. Its probably okay once in a great while.  Its like drinking coffee with some weird sweeteners, pretty much.

  19. If the 11 year old in question is a mature responsible person, then I see nothing wrong with it every once in a while.

  20. They quicken your heart rate. They're a suppressant, and harmful to anyone's body. They're even illegal in France. I am on the smaller side for my age, and I'm not sure if this is the reason, but I get all shaky and sometimes dizzy when I drink those. I'm not caffeine sensitive. It is probably really harmful to an 11 yr old. I garuntee you that in a decade or so, there's going to be a legal limit as to what age you can buy that stuff. they just don't have all the scientific proof they need.

Why would an 11 yr old need it? And you say once every 2-3 weeks almost like it's medicine. It defineitly does NOT need to be a regular thing. I wouldn't object to giving them a sip once in a while, but they should be content with regular pop, (and preferably not even that) till they're older.

  21. no... those are energy drinks! why would an 11 year old need to have an energy drink.

  22. ummm of course as long as it is not at night or anything if its like for a sport or something i suggest it not for just a drink to get you idk hydrated drink water for that.

  23. Once every 2-3 weeks is fine, nothing to be worried about. There are jokes at my school that have 2, maybe 3 a day and it shows...
