Is it alright to have an Mp3 player out in the Dominican Republic?

I'm about to leave with my family to vacation in the Dominican Republic. Me && my brother will have Mp3 players with us. Is it safe for us to have them out if..we're with my Mom, Dad, older brother and ourselves? Is something less likely to happen since there's like 5 of us?

NO I would not do it!!!!..... just use it inside the hotel....people in motorcycles grab things from you when you are distracted...# of people you are with does not matter..... the bike is still faster than ten men!!!!jajajajajajaja I know because I been there.....It was very funny when it happen to one of my friend....they dont want to harm you they just want your stuff.....

Yeah !!! Dont worry , its not THAT bad here !!! Specially cuz ur so many people and also well your a tourist , they dont do anything to you. I only know one friend whos cell the've stolen but she was also walking around in the ghetto lol. Well anyhow dont worry its all good !!!

Well, young fellow, the Dominican Republic is not Africa, we have also Mp3 and Mp4 players, like everywhere in the world you have to be cautious with "showing off" because there are always people who like to have your stuff. But also you are in the "tourist areas" they are cool.
