Do you think it's alright to have a bbq at our house celebrating my husband and my 7th wedding anniversary? We think this is a big one for us b/c we began dating on august 7, 99, got engaged nov 7, 2000 and married sept 7, 2001. We think the 7th is special. We just wanted to have a bbq with our friends in september to celebrate but is it odd b/c it's not our 10th or something big like that? thanks.

  1. Sounds super.  Go for it.  Have a great party.

  2. Sounds like fun! I would come. The only thing is some people might think you were wanting gifts and that was the only reason you were throwing the party. Now I can tell from your question thats not what you are after, you don't seem like that type, but I would make sure you add on the invitation that you don't want gifts.  Have fun. Sounds like a blast.

  3. Go for it. It sounds like fun.

  4. You can an anniversary celebration at any year if you feel 7 is good for you go for it ..You know what they said about being married for 7 yrs? Well if you can make it pass the 7 yr itch then you should have a successful marriage..good luck to you.

  5. I say go for it. Enjoy and celebrate your love and life together. My husband died suddenly a few months ago, without warning from a heart attack, shy 3 wks of our 30th anniversary. We had big plans. One never knows so live in the moment dear. Hang it what folks might think. Congrats! Wishing you many more to come.

  6. it should be something more romantic to rekindle the love

  7. I think that if you put something about how special the 7th is to you and your husband on the invitations then it will not be weird at all. People will understand why you are having the party now, instead of 3 years from now for your 10th anniversary.

I think that it's a very good idea! Congrats!!

  8. I think that would be nice! As long as the weather is good, go for it! The best part about being with someone is making up traditions that can be passed on to future generations, congratulations!

  9. I don't think nothing wrong with that I would have a big anniversay party every year

  10. I think its a great idea there is nothing wrong with having a casual party every year. You having the best of both worlds by having the private dinner with hubby on the actual day and then celebrating with friends another day. If you want you could always do something formal for your 10th and renew your vow It your choice what  ever you want to do go for it.Have a great anniversary and  a great BBQ.

  11. You two are cool. Keeping it simple is the best. Every year is big, love. Everyday is awesome. Congratulations!
