Is it alright to "test" your friendship with your best friend to make sure its still a tight friendship?

my best friend just moved and i am afraid we will drift apart. does anyone have any advice on dealing with this? it would be helpful.

No, tests are no bueno in any case.  The test is your friend moving away and things will change anyway.  I would just keep an open line of communication and let them know you're still there.

I  know  its   heart  breaking!

All  i  would   suggest  is  :

If   he   or  she  is  within  reach   try  to  meet   him or her every weekend.

And  u  must   must  make  it  a  habit  to  mail  ,  SMS ,  or  call him/her  everyday

Beleive   me  its  not   difficult!!

U  just  have  to  use   10  min   of   24  hrs    !!!

Try   to  keep  him/her  updated  about  urself  or  school  gossip etc

Just   don't  limit  urself  to  hello  and  hi!!!

I'm   sure    the  intimacy  between   u  2   will    bloom  forever!!!!

No. If you have to test it then it's not. The years in between will be test enough.

Friendships can't be forced.  You may drift apart but that's just part of life.  I don't see how you can call someone your best friend and thene ven think of trying to test them, it's not a friendship if you do that.

all you can do is make a good faith effort to keep in touch and hope your friend does the same.

not sure what you mean by "test", but it doesn't sound like something you should do to a true friend.
