Is it always necessary to do onsite work in civil engineering?

cant we be successful in that without doing onsite or field works like sitting in the office and work?will the salary paid be very low if we dont do field work?

  1. Well you will have to do on sight training.

    I am a mechanical engineer and had to do a couple of years on the shop floor in my training.

    I am a designer now and do no shop floor work at all!

    So when you get your job probably not, or very little but in your training you will have to do some, I would have thought!

  2. It depends on the project. Many girls are not going to site. But they are doing well in their engineering design.

  3. Mostly ,as site Engineer..On site is must / with good perks.

  4. Field work in engineering is quit neccessary, because it enables one to understad more about the job ..Furthermore most parts in engineering are practical so I guess you have to do it.
