  1. 99% of the snow melts in the summer in CO. I'd try Glacier National Park. There is a pretty good chance for snow there in the summer, just watch out for the Grizzlies!! and have fun

  2. I live in Hahn's Peak north of Steamboat Springs, Co.

8,100 feet and near the Wyoming border.

No snow in the summer, in fact it gets hot in the day.

The mountains that cradle our little town lose all their snow.

Once the sun goes down the temperature may drop 40 degrees. We often have a fire pit but we only need a jacket. I wear skirts.

It did snow 6 inches last June but melted soon

    as far as Alaska

my aunt and uncle live in Eagle, Alaska

Eagle is on the Yukon river next to the border of Canada

8 months out of the year the only way to Eagle is by bush plane,

    snow mobile or dog sled

The summer months however do not get a lot of snow and the mosquitoes are unbelievable. As well the sun never quite goes down.

You are going to have to go to the other hemisphere if you want a fun snowy "summer"

  3. in colorado not all the snow melts, st. marys glacier which me and some friends ski on has snow all year. and then places on some passes still have snow

  4. Well from what i hear, i'm pretty sure colorado ski places close in June but im not sure, thats what i have heard from ppl that live ther.........but idk

  5. Isolated pockets of snow can be found on some of the higher peaks, but most of it melts. I wouldn't go so far as to call Colorado "cold" in the summertime. I've spent many nights above 10,000ft in July and August. Even at 2am I never needed long pants. A fleece jacket and a lightweight sleeping bag (+20F) rating was about all I needed.

    Try Alaska instead.

  6. there is not always snow...GO UTAH!!! ski in the 70s you get c**p snow though...

  7. mt hood in oregon, open all summer long, all the pros come to train there and they have one of the best ski school in the world, WINDELLS

  8. If you call 90 degree days cold during summer. Not sure Colorado is the place for you.

  9. Colorado isn't cold in the summer. That's why its high desert.

I'm with the first answerer, Glacier National Park in Montana.

  10. Timberline Resort near portland(60 miles east) has summer skiing.

After memorial day they close the season but the upper Palmer snowfield stays open serviced by only one lift(the palmer express). Just a note these 3 runs are not for beginners. I'm going there myself at the end of July for a masters race. As a plus you don't have to buy a sno-park permit($20) in the summer.

    For info on timberline call 1 503 622 7979 or to make a reservation at the lodge 1 800 547 1406

On a personal note when I go there in the summer I stay in the dalles and take hwy 35 up to mt hood traffic is alot lighter than hwy26 out of portland plus the motel I stay at rents boats, kayaks and windsurfing boards. I love the whole ski all day and then paddle till sunset scene
