  1. it'd be extremely expensive to extract co2 from the air like that. it's easier to just plant trees.

you can't just get rid of co2 into space. the environment needs to be kept in balance. in increase of co2 emissions in one place means theres a deficiency of it in some other form.

  2. CO2 is not the problem as plants have taken care of it. CO2 is one of the heaviest gases on the planet,to keep it near the earth for the plants. It is so heavy that it is used to smother a fire.

  3. i don't know

    ask a scientist

  4. no because the carbon dioxide in outer space isnt natural from outer space, the carbo dioxide wouldnt be equally distributed in the atmosphere

  5. With flawed thinking such as yours , it's no wonder that so many on here can't understand REAL science! Your question shows how much you don't know about the Earth and it's properties.  It sounds like the wacky idea to put nuclear in rockets and send them towards the Sun. My favorite silly idea is the one that someone posted. They thought that if you put pure CO2 in a glass jar, and put in sunlight, it would get hotter than a jar with regular air in it.  lol! Why do all the 'deniers' of global climate change, seem so ready to 'believe' any crackpot idea, instead of solid science?

  6. The ozone layer isn't in space, it's in the earth's atmosphere.  So pumping carbon dioxide into space won't help.  Plus, space is a vacuum.  There's no high concentration of gases present like here on the earth's atmosphere.

  7. i did read something about using the rising magnetic field at the north pole as a 'conveyor belt' adding a bit of energy to pump co2 up and out but i thought it sounded a bit wacky so i didnt save the link. i tried search for a few mins no luck, but really cant be bothered i'm sure it would be better to soak it up with algae or the new low energy concrete processes instead.

  8. it would make more sense to pump co2 into the ocean - co2 dissolves very well into water, and most of the world's co2 is actually stored there (not in the air). Also, algae and water plants breathe co2 in massive concentrations, turning it into oxygen.

co2 is a heavy gas, so to pump it into outer space would CREATE more co2 than it removes, due to the energy that would be needed.

  9. Yeah...Global warming is a myth created to generate money for corporations. Al Gore is a nut job and the data available is anecdotal given the age of the planet and minuscule data available to make such ludicrous claims.

  10. no. where would you get the energy from , more fossil fuels? you would then need to get it out of earth's orbit and that would just be to costly.
