Question:

Is it appropriate to buy a leather jacket for a Nepali?

Our partner ( a Christian Nepali man) needs something to "cut the wind" on long motor bike rides , but I am concerned that a leather jacket may provoke radical Hindus. I really cannot compare with india because India is much more open to religious differences and Nepal (until recently) was an official Hindu state, which India is not.

  1. Get him a wind block to install on his motor-cycle, my work buddy has one and he doesn't even need a jacket.

  2. Even though we're Hindu, we're not that narrow mind people on the face of the earth. We do dress up as any human being on the center of the earth.

So, there is no point he'll going to get offended but he'll be happy to get your the gift.

  3. Avoid leather and eleminate the risk of offending.
