I know it's the best way to show you appreciated the hiring manager taking the time to interview you, but how should I go about delivering the thank you note, etc.?

  1. Yes!  Send a Thank You note; "Thanks for your time, it was a pleasure to meet you."  Just put it in the mail!

  2. Thank-you notes are always appropriate. It doesn't have to be anything long or detailed: just how glad you are to have had the opportunity to meet the interviewer, how you enjoyed learning more about the job opportunities at Starbucks, how you appreciate the time he or she took to meet you.

You could also reiterate your interest in the job.

If you type it, use plain paper and a plain envelope. If you hand-write it, use plain stationery (you can buy one sheet and one envelope of good stationery at more stationery stores). Don't buy a "thank you" card or anything like that. Then just mail the letter.

    Good luck!

  3. Yes, send a thank you note and include a Starbucks gift card....good luck!

  4. Yes, sending a thank you note is a standard rule when interviewing for any job anywhere. I would buy a card that is professional and blank on the inside. Print your letter in black ink. And then put it in an envelope and send it to the manager via USPS. I wouldn't hand deliver it because it may seem to be a desperate attempt to butter up the interviewer. Remain neutral and send it through the mail.

  5. Definitely appropriate, and may help you edge out others that were interviewed.  In a customer service capacity, this shows skills and courteous behavior the manager is looking for.  If he/she interviewed 6-8 people, they may have difficulty remembering who they liked, didn't, etc.   A thank you note sets you apart.  Include a personal detail from the interview...."I appreciated your time, and really enjoyed our discussion about your new line of drinks...."  Shows that you were listening.

  6. I would hand-write it and personally deliver it to the Starbucks where I interviewed.  Ask to speak to the manager on duty and ask them to give to the hiring manager.  They probably have an in-box or something and will get it quicker than if you put it in the real mail.

    Good luck!

  7. Thank you notes are appropriate after any interview.  Mailing them is the best method.

  8. Not unless you want to look desperate.

Thank you's are appropriate I think right at the end of the interview, and once again if you get the job.
