I heard today that my cousin's daughter, whom I only met when she was a toddler, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I have not talked to my cousin in 15 or more years, an was wondering if I should call or send a card since I heard about the tumor.

  1. sure, i'm sure a card would be nice.

  2. Many years can be easily melted by a kind gesture.  If you feel strongly enough to want to reach out, do so.  Don't worry about how long it's been.  This may be an opportunity for you to re-connect with someone who may become very special to you.  If nothing else, it will certainly help your cousin and her daughter to know there is someone so thoughtful thinking of them at such a difficult time.
