I contacted a photographer for TFP's, the photographer could not help me so they referred me to someone else who might be doing TFP's soon. I want to say thank you for the referal and contact info, but I wan't to send more than just a boring email.

  1. You need to go to them and thank them in person.

  2. Send a card.

  3. Mail him a thank you card

  4. Don't send an ecard, that requires him to download, click, view, etc. Ecards are inconsiderate and I delete them.

Send him a handwritten thank you on a folded notecard, 30 words at the most. Or a handwritten thank you on a standard-issue postcard, 20 words at the most.

Ask yourself how neat it is to get cards & notes in your physical mailbox, and you'll know how much he'll appreciate your 50 cent postcard with 20 words and a 27 cent stamp!
